Propaganda doesn’t just live in history books — it surrounds us in news,
film, and culture. Through talks, screenings, and debate, we’ll examine
how power manages perception, and how creativity can push back. We’ll
kick the evening off with a screening of Harun Farocki’s film series
Serious Games, which examines the american army’s use of computer
simulations in training and therapy. The screening is followed by two
lectures. Joining us is Palestinian Artist Noura Tafeche who will
premiere her lecture-performance The Zionverse. Tromsø based scholar
Holger Pötzsch will deliver a lecture centered around western
imperialist interventions and the propaganda that backs them.


After the seminar programme, SASUSU will take over the decks in
Verdensteatrets bar and play a cocktail including propaganda music.
